The Manchester Evening News are reporting that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is going to make a decision on the immediate future of their talented 19 year-old Nigerian defender Tosin Adarabioyo.

The 6ft 5ins center-back has played for the England U16, U17, U18 and U19 sides and he has already made four appearances for the City first team.

It’s not clear whether the tall defender is in Guardiola’s future plans but we’ll find out soon enough.

However, since the teenager recently agreed a new deal for £40K/week wages, it’s very unlikely he will be sold and a loan deal will most likely happen.

Newcastle are said to be interested in the player.

We need to bring in a number of top youngsters who can then be developed as potential first teamers of the future.

Fulham, Sheffield Wednesday and Preston North End in the Championship are the other clubs interested in signing Tosin Adarabioyo on a season-long loan deal.

The 19 year-old has come through the Youth Academy at City after joining his home town team back in 2005 as a 5 year-old.

Wonder how tall he was then?

If it’s only a loan deal for the player, which seems almost certain, we’re not sure Rafa would be too interested.

It would be unlikely the right-footed teenager would get many games at center-back next season for Newcastle, because of his lack of experience in the PL.

At the moment we have Lascelles, Clark, new boy Lejeune and Mbemba fighting it out for the two central defense starting places at Newcastle.

And the loan deal would be without an option to buy and we just don’t think Newcastle get much out of those deals.

But City would probably love for Rafa Benitez to coach Adarabioyo for a year.

What do you think?
