Hi guys, today we are going to have a quick look at Exodus for Kodi.

As you will all have read by now, ZemTv S.A.L.T.S & cCloud all have been having their issues, say no more, & a few Israeli Repo’s also have been taken down. So we thought it was high time some one brought up the recent issues experienced by Exodus user’s.

Lots of people have been reporting issues with this one since it’s hand over…., but to be fair the problem is not really a biggie & fixable easily. This is The reason for this is because file hosts are switching to SSL encryption (Https addresses) and Kodi 16.1 doesn’t not support SSL. There will be no fix for this and if you have Kodi 17 or 17.1, or the new 17.3 you should see all of the links that Exodus pulls back fine.

Note : You will now see less HD links on Kodi 16 and below, In Kodi 17 you have more chance of HD links due to the links using SSL which is only supported on Kodi 17.

If you cannot upgrade to kodi 17 or your box does not support Kodi 17 then try FTMC, Nodi or SPMC for Android users..

Here is a quick check list to ensure you get those great Exodus streams.

1/ Make sure your ISP is not blocking the links. (very common especially with sly broadband and in the UK)
(to test this the easiest way – other then take your device to family or friends house), try kodi on a phone or tablet and try the exact same links via 3G/4G, IF the streams work then you have an internet or ISP problem

2/

For those with technical knowledge who want more info, file hosts are now using TLSv1.1 or TLSv2 which is introduced in python 2.7.9 and the python interpreter that Kodi 16.1 uses only supports TLSv1.

Remember, Kodi 17 is not supported on Android 4.4. This may means it is time for you to upgrade your Kodi box….

Exodus may not work if:

  • Your Kodi is outdated. Exodus is only designed to work with Kodi Isenguard (15) or higher.
  • If you are still using Kodi 14.2, you will not receive any support for Exodus issues.
  • Your version of Exodus is outdated. The current version is V3.1.15, If you see something different, update to 3.1.5 or above.

MAIN FIX – Tested

Movies &/or TV shows are not showing any providers = You MUST uninstall Exodus (REBOOT), then reinstall Exodus from correct Exodus repo or Indigo Addon installer, as per the instructions here.
AFTER MAIN FIX – Tools or menu items missing: If menu is not showing correctly simply go into the addons configuration and UPDATE the addon (even though it is the correct version), it will update and fix the menus.

HOW TO MANUALLY UPDATE ADDONS AND REPOS

For Wrong Episode / If wrong Episodes play

In Exodus go to Tools/Providers.
Disable Afdah and reboot and try again.
If it still doesn’t work then disable in this order, MoviesHD (reboot try again), Torba (reboot try again) lastly Ymovies (reboot and try again)
Problems seem to be caused by the above providers

If you can no longer see Movie/TV information

Make sure you change the settings from thumbnail to media info or fanart etc (upon update your view may have reverted to thumbnail and you no longer see movie/tv information)

UPDATE YOUR URLRESOLVER
Goto SYSTEM/SETTINGS/ADDONS/INSTALL FROM ZIP & select
fusion/kodi-scripts/script-module-urlresolver3.0.X.zip
Make sure this is up to date
Go into you addon tools menu and clear providers and clear cache (then reboot addon and box)
REBOOT IS IMPORTANT AFTERWARDS
Make sure the time and date is correct on Kodi and your device (also check your internet connection is working fine and your other addons actually play streams.
